Menopace provides vitamin B complex, which is involved in the maintenance of the nervous system and brain function and may help contribute to a normal sense of well-being.  It also contains moderate dietary levels (20mg) of Soy Isoflavone extract, to provide Daidzin, Glycetine and Genisein.  Isoflavones are naturally occurring plant compounds that studies have shown may be useful for women during this time.

Natural balance

The secretion of ovarian hormones oestrogen and progesterone declines around the menopause, but menstrual cycles seldom cease abruptly and there is a period of transition in which considerable hormone fluctuations become readily apparent.  The advanced Menopace formula includes vitamin B complex, zinc and magnesium, three nutrients used by the body in the production of GLA (gamma linolenic acid), a precursor of the body's own hormone like substances which help regulate changes in hormone balance.

Nutrients for skin collagen

Oestrogen has a positive effect on the production of collagen, a substance that forms part of the bone matrix and helps keep skin supple and taught.  After the menopause, oestrogen production significantly declines and 30% of skin collagen may be lost within five years.  Menopace includes vitamin C to help the body maintain collagen production, along with copper, zinc and other minerals important to collagen deposition.

Minerals to keep bones strong

Menopace provides magnesium, zinc and vitamin D, to help maintain strong bones.  These nutrients facilitate bone mineralization, the uptake of calcium and may help maintain bone density.  Menopace is designed tobe taken in conjunction with a calcium supplement such as Osteocare.  Bone health is particularly important for women during the menopause, since bone loss may accelerate from 0.1% to 3% per annum during this time.

Nutrients for heart health

It is thought that lower oestrogen levels may influence heart and cardiovascular health in older women.  Menopace includes antioxidants like selenium and vitamin E, to help prevent the unwanted oxidation of fat and cholesterol and help balance cholesterol levels in the blood.  Optimal levels of vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid also help maintain healthy lower levels of a blood amino acid called homocysteine that is independently linked with heart health.
